General Features

The general purpose of the Autonomous Sea Cleaning Vehicle is to collect autonomous garbage on the water surface in areas such as sea and lake and to analyze the water in the studied area.

 

  • In our study, a microprocessor-based tool that was prepared with the help of OpenCV, which became autonomous with the HSV Object Detection method was designed and implemented.

  • Equipment; Based on 1.5 GHz quad-core RaspberryPi processor.

  • Software; OpenCV on Python was developed using open source codes.

  • The most distinctive feature of the Autonomous Sea Cleaning Vehicle, which differs from similar studies, is that it detects and collects garbage through the camera it holds.

  • The device can also be controlled by remote control.

  • The control of the water quality in the working area is carried out with pH and turbidity sensors.

  • With the help of the GPS module in the device, the instant location of the device can be monitored.

  • Data from the sensors and GPS module are instantly transferred to the app on your smartphone with the Wi-Fi supported communication module.

  • With this application, the transition between autonomous and remote driving modes is easily achieved.

  • The tests carried out during the installation of the project showed that the autonomous and remote communication system was successful.

  • The data we obtain while the device is operating can be an important source of information in the research of relevant institutions and organizations.
